Liquid when freshly harvested and bottled, then left to set to its own natural crystal
Pohutukawa Honey
Description
Last summers Pohutukawa Honey is pure as can be... very delicate and salty sweet.
Harvested from our home block at the eastern end of the beautiful Mahurangi West
Peninsula and around the regional park, with a nice hint of Kanuka. More of a squat jar than shown and more frosting on the sides, now its winter
We cream most of our honey, which is just controlling the crystallization so
it sets to a finer crystal. This takes a few days. and is a totally cold process. This honey has been left to set slowly and naturally. . As the temperatures have
dropped, it has become firm and grainy. forming its own natural crystal, as honey is a
natural sugar. This is unadulterated pure raw honey in its total natural state,
just as nature intended.
I am pleased now to give my customers, the option of creamed or uncreamed,
Natural Crystallized Pohutukawa Honey in a bigger 1 KG jar!
It will melt back down to runny honey easily too, if so desired! Follow our harvest on Facebook " Mahurangi Honey "
